The Sleeping Bear Marathon is Saturday, Oct. 3, and you’ll see lots of runners convening in Empire to run various races with a grand finish on the beach. A team of volunteers from Empire’s Lions Club and other organizations will help direct participants and local residents who need to navigate the race course and roads during the event. Information on the races can be found at the Sleeping Bear Marathon website.
