Donations

The Empire Area Community Center is funded by generous donations that are managed in separate funds for different purposes.

• The general fund supports our community sponsored events and operating costs. This is the EACC umbrella fund, and contributions to this fund can be directed to others funds when necessary.
• The basics needs fund supports local organizations that provide assistance for basic needs, including the Empire Area Food Pantry, Empire Paper Pantry, and the Folded Leaf Pantry.
• The emergency fund supports community-nominated residents who need emergency assistance. All contributions to this fund go directly to neighbors in need.  Refer to the emergency fund page for a description of the nominating process.
• The building fund was started with a dream for a concrete community center building in the Empire area and a generous donation from the family of Lea Ann and Leonard Sterling, founding members of EACC. The dream continues.
