The Empire Area Community Center serves the community with information, events, and support in an area that includes Empire, Glen Arbor, Burdickville, Maple City, Lake Ann, and Honor. Local residents can check for events on the community calendar and sign up for local information in email news.

Events

Several holiday events are sponsored by the Empire Area Community Center, including the Asparagus Festival, Anchor Day, Labor Day Glen Lake Bridge Walk, Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, Heritage Day, Artisan Thanksgiving Marketplace, Holiday Potluck with Santa, and the Winter Festival. Several regular events are sponsored at the Empire Township Hall, including Yoga, Fitness (with Flexibility Plus), Winter Game Nights, and Pickleball. The Community Center also sponsors organizations, including the Empire Wine and Garden Club, Empire Area Food Pantry, and Empire Paper Pantry, with associated fundraising events. Concerts

Free concerts are held — typically on the last Sunday of the month — to promote community gatherings and collect donations for a special emergency fund managed by the Empire Area Community Center.
